Dear SBA Families,
As we prepare for the upcoming Summer 2024/25 season, we want to inform you of an important update regarding door entry fees for our junior domestic competitions.
Starting this season, the door entry fee will increase to $4. This is the first adjustment since 2017 and is necessary to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the Sunbury Basketball Association and our competitions. Over the years, the SBA has absorbed multiple court hire increases from Hume City Council, with another 3% increase on the way. While we’ve worked hard to maintain our current pricing, this adjustment is essential to continue providing a quality basketball experience for all.
Helping Families Manage CostsWe understand the challenges that come with rising costs, which is why we’re offering a 10-entry pass for $35 to help reduce the financial impact on families. This will provide a more affordable and convenient option compared to paying per game.
Looking to the FutureIn addition to this fee adjustment, the SBA is working closely with Hume City Council to enhance Boardman Stadium. We’re also exploring plans for an additional venue to meet the growing demand for basketball in the region.
Thank you for your continued support of the SBA and for being part of our basketball community. We look forward to another exciting season and to improving the experience for all our members.
